The final countdown...
As the song says, we are in the final countdown of the year.  Not only am I finishing up another interesting year at my school, but I am also in the middle of working on my Masters of Science in School Leadership. Part of the program was to take a class focused on technology in the classroom.  I have taken a number of new adventures in the past couple weeks I hadn't planned to take:
  • I started a blog.
  • I created a Twitter account.
  • I have "participated" ( I actually just watched and read) a Twitter chat.
Not that I am opposed to any of these things, but to be trying to learn about all of them at one time has been a bit overwhelming, yet educational all at the same time.  There is so much information out there to be sifted through and used and so little time.  I guess I should be grateful that summer is right around the corner, but I'm not.  What once was going to be a relaxing summer has just become a busy one; however, I welcome the knowledge I will get from all of my new learning.

Happy Summer to all!

We WILL Survive...

In these last days of school, the students are spazzy, the staff is stressed, and the parents are quickly becoming petrified of the idea that summer is right around the corner.  Yet in the midst of all this craziness, I find myself looking at blogs, websites, and tweets for ideas to make the last few days fly by.

I have always known that teachers were a resourceful bunch, and in looking at all of the activities and ideas, I am totally overwhelmed.  So many ideas, so little time.  Here is song that has gotten me through many a tough day, because it just makes me smile.

Hang in there, teachers.  We WILL Survive!

First time for everything...

Well...

Here I am.  Pushing 40 and starting my own blog.  We shall see how this process goes.  I ave always thought of myself as a life-long learner.  We'll see how well this old dog can learn a new trick.  LOL  Check back from time to time to see how things are going in my world.
